Helicopter is grounded.

Its Friday as i write this and i would normally be getting excited about going unto the MK Model Helicopter Club but due to some sort of part or technical glitch with castle creation HV ICE 80 I have had to send my speed controller back to Castle Creation for a replacement or repair. Its not that i mind as safety has to be a prime concern when taking part in this hobby, I mean have you seen how fast those blades spin, you would be in for a nasty time of things if anything happened. You just need to look on You Tube for any amount of examples of things going wrong.

My problem is that i need the practise as I’m ( lets be honest here, not all that good) just learning the hobby and STICK time is all important.
for all you who don’t know what stick time is – its time spend helicopter in air with your fingers or thumbs controlling it.

Its the August bank holiday and god do i need a rest, My mind is melting over all the things i have to do in order to fulfil my ambitions (which is basically to provide for my family)

Learning to fly

when i was learning to fly after just setting up my new align 600e pro i went out and about with a man who can and made this learning to fly video,

after a few weeks of learning i eventually plugged it into the computer to find out the headspeedm amps and a few other stats. This revealed the headspeed off the thing was 2250 which for me is way too high.

Helicopter Competency Test

Today was a very good day as i passed my model helicopter competency test, I failed it the previous week just to my own stupidity and this week i could have done the same very easily but i spend a good hour with my head in my hands and thinking what to do.

I discussed the details of what needed to be done although i already knew but for some odd reason i cannot judge distance on my left.

I mean how difficult can it be, but i find this incredibly hard, I can land, I can do my right and i can even land in long grass without too much hassle, but Left is a big NO NO. so i guess passing is one hurdle over now i just need to learn landing on the left. the big question is will i master that or nose in flying first…only time will tell.

Stockton on Tees

Another day , another hotel, this time it’s the Premier Inn at Stockton on Tees.

As always there is a resteraunt attached to the hotel, and it’s a cracker, it’s got a awesome entrance and best of all I must have hit a quiet period as I was only sharing the place with about 30 other people and they didn’t bother me at all.
